Life in Richmond

With 2 NIH Training Grants and many funded NIH grants, the outstanding faculty and students in Microbiology & Immunology at MCV of VCU are in an excellent position to make signficant contributions to science and the community. Our future looks bright, and we expect continued success in basic medical research discoveries and in the training of the next generation of scientists. Our new slogan is:

Discover Something Great in Virginia

Unfortunately, funds are in short supply for so many of our worthy research activities, especially those that directly affect our graduate students. We are now looking to our alumni and friends for help. Contributions are greatly needed to help support our Graduate Training Programs in the following areas:

1. The Seminar Program in Microbiology & Immunology

2. Student Research Travel Awards

3. Student Research Recognition Awards

4. Funds for Student Recruitment

5. Funds for Shared Equipment

6. Interdisciplinary Research Retreats & Social Events

7. Gap Funding for young faculty to maintain support of their students.

Can you help?
