Children’s Pavilion
1001 E. Marshall St.,
Richmond, VA 23298
Physicians and residents provide pediatric
patient care at the VCU Medical Center as well as at satellite locations
throughout the Richmond metropolitan area.
We recently consolidated many of our ambulatory clinics into the
Children’s Pavilion, a 57,347-square-foot pediatric outpatient
facility dedicated to providing advanced, compassionate, child-centered
healthcare.
The Children’s Pavilion is located in the former Richmond
Eye and Ear Hospital, which takes up a city block bounded by 11th,
12th, East Broad and East Marshall Streets. Public parking is available
under the pavilion and there is direct elevator service to our clinics
and offices from the parking garage.
The Children’s Pavilion is home to state-of-the-art pediatric
primary and subspecialty care; resident, medical student and nursing
education; pediatric medical care coordination; and clinical research
studies. Pediatric administrative offices also are located within the
building as well as the offices for our Care Connection for Children
program, a long-term program for children with chronic health care
needs. We will soon expand these services to include some of our
pediatric surgical colleagues in urology, general surgery and otolaryngology.
Internal Medicine Clinic – Ambulatory Care Center
417 N. 11th St.
Residents provide primary care to their clinic patients at the Ambulatory
Care Center Primary Care Clinic. This represents a change from an
older clinic site in the A.D. Williams Buidling. Residents also
have opportunities to provide primary care in other sites such as
the Fan Free or Cross-Over Clinics, inner-city clinics for the underserved
in the Richmond area. Med-Peds residents do not have primary clinic
assigned at the McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center,
as their time at the VA is limited compared to the categorical residents.
Other medical and surgical specialties are located in the Ambulatory
Care Center, along with diagnostic testing labs and diagnostic radiology
facilities. The Ambulatory Care Center is physically connected to
the Main Hospital of the VCU Medical Center.
