Admission Criteria
The Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program accepts all applicants for appointments
only through the Electronic
Residency Application Service. Students
can access ERAS through the Association of American Medical Colleges.
The deadline for submission of all materials is Nov. 30 of each year. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- All applicants must have graduated from an accredited medical
school.
- All applicants must have passed Step I and II of the USMLE.
Special notes for IMGs:
- International applicants also must have ECFMG Certificate in
addition to three months of clinical experience in a U.S. hospital
— observerships are not accepted. (For visa information, please visit our GME website.)
- Our institution only sponsors J-1 visas.
- We do not have a minimum score requirement for USMLE Steps I and II. Interview spots are limited, and are typically offered to the applicants with the highest scores first. Any passing score could qualify you for an interview.
- Our institution's policy is that you must have graduated from medical school within 5 years of applying to the program, or you must have been doing clinical work in the interim.
Completed files are reviewed and invitations to interview are extended
through ERAS. Interviews will be scheduled on selected Mondays, Wednesdays
and Fridays.
All correspondence and inquiries regarding the interviews, scheduling
or questions about our program should be directed to our Residency
