This single-family dwelling was sold in 1899 to A. D. Williams,
son of tobacco magnate T.C. Williams Sr., whose daughter built her home
a few years later at 808 W. Franklin St. (Thurston
House). A. D. Williams previously had formed a real estate partnership
in 1884 with N. W. Bowe, whose home was built at 917 W. Franklin St. (Bowe
House).
