Once enrolled in the Ph.D. in Integrative Life Sciences program,
you will be eligible for graduation upon completion of all academic
requirements in effect at the time of your first registration,
with the following provisions:
1. You are continuously enrolled.
2. You meet the requirements within the specified time frame
of seven years (of when you first enroll).
To be eligible for graduation, you must achieve an overall grade-point
average of 3.0 (“B”) with a grade of “C”
in no more than two courses. We base the GPA for graduation
on all graduate courses attempted after your acceptance into
the program.
Transfer and M.S. credits
Graduate-level course work completed prior to matriculation
into the program, including course work taken in another VCU
program or at another institution, shall be evaluated to determine
whether it can be used to fulfill degree requirements of this
program. There is no limit to the number of credits that can
be transferred from another program at VCU as long as they have
not been previously applied toward another degree. A maximum
of six credit hours earned at an institution other than VCU
can be accepted for transfer into the program if not previously
applied toward another degree. A minimum grade of “B”
is required for credits to transfer.
