Ashley Mannell, RS, RD

Ashley Mannell graduated in 1999 from the University of Virginia with a
Bachelor of Arts degree. After working for 2 years she went back to school
to get a Master's degree in nutrition from James Madison University, which
she obtained in 2005. Ashley completed her dietetic internship at VCU
medical center in 2005 where she gained first-hand experience working with
the obesity surgery program. Upon completion of her internship Ashley went
on to work as a dietitian in private practice and also at ACAC Fitness &
Wellness Center in MIdlothian, Virginia. Ashley came back to work full-time
as an outpatient dietitian at VCU Medical Center in June 2007. Ashley holds
her certificates of training from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
in both adult and pediatric weight management, and is currently pursuing a
second master's degree in rehabilitation counseling through VCU. Ashley's
specialty areas include weight loss, weight management and sports
nutrition.
