New Beginnings Support Group | Lap-Banding

We have over 1000 current members enrolled in the New Beginnings support group. Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each EVEN month at 6:30 pm at Main Hospital cafeteria, in the back behind vending machines. During ODD months, the group meets at Stony Point Women's Center. People considering surgery are invited to attend our meetings, as we have an open door policy. We hope you will join us!

In addition to providing valuable medical, nursing, psychological, and dietetic information at the meetings, there is time allotted for patients to openly discuss personal experiences and to share information with one another.

Monthly newsletters are sent to group members that include meeting information, recipes, "success story of the month," "ask the nurse" columns, as well as articles written by our dietitians and psychologist. For a nominal fee of $20 you receive lifetime membership, a monthly newsletter, and a special card allowing you to order items from a discounted menu (children's, senior citizens) which is accepted by most restaurants.

We invite all patients, family members, friends, and prospective patients to attend these valuable meetings.
