New Beginnings Support Group | Gastric Bypass

We have over 1000 current members of New Beginnings support group. Meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at Main Hospital cafeteria, in the back behind vending machines and usually have a professional guest speaker. People considering surgery are invited to attend our meetings, as we have an open door policy. We hope you will join us!

In addition to providing valuable medical, nursing, psychological, and dietetic information through the guest speaker there is time allotted for patients to openly discuss personal experiences and to share information with one another.

Monthly newsletters include meeting information, recipes, "success story of the month," and "ask the nurse" columns, submissions from our dietitians and psychologist are among other common entries. The nominal fee of $20 covers lifetime membership, newsletters, and a special card which is accepted by most restaurants to chose items off a discounted menu (children's, senior citizens).

We invite all patients, family members, friends, and prospective patients to attend these valuable meetings.
