About the Celebration

An event like this one only happens once! On Saturday, May 31, 2003, we held a celebration and reunion to commemorate what only four other departments of family practice in the country have achieved: 1,000 residency graduates.

We’ve developed this Web site to share with you highlights of the celebration and we invite you to share with us any photos or stories you might have from the event.

At the celebration, VCU President Eugene P. Trani, emphasized the importance of this achievement to Virginia Commonwealth University, the commonwealth of Virginia and the nation. View his speech from the celebration.
