Ms. Jan Keitz, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in the Otolaryngology Department. She joined the department in February 2004 and works with Dr. Ron Mitchell, Pediatric Otolaryngology, and Dr. Laurence DiNardo, Head and Neck Surgery. Ms. Keitz has an extensive background in surgical and emergency nursing, as well as, in nursing education. She graduated from the University of Rochester with a nursing diploma, and the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree with high honors. Her graduate education was at Virginia Commonwealth University with a master's degree in nursing and post-masters in the adult nurse practitioner and the family nurse practitioner certificate programs. Ms. Keitz is certified as an emergency nurse by the Emergency Nurses Association and as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center .
