Technology and the Changing Landscape of Learning
If you have ever felt a bit overwhelmed by the options and pace of change of technology, you are not alone. While technology may have the potential to enhance teaching and learning, it can be challenging to make instructional decisions about what to use in your teaching and when. This session begins by exploring faculty perspectives on teaching with technology, and then engages participants in discussion about ways the web is changing how and where learning is taking place. Research about best practices for teaching with technology in higher education are also introduced, providing faculty participants with a model for making decisions about teaching with technology.
This workshop is not currently being offered. The CTE will be happy to consult with individuals or small groups who wish to explore this topic further. For more information, contact Jeff Nugent (7-0563 or jsnugent@vcu.edu).
