Blackboard: Communication Tools

This class will offer an opportunity to learn about and experiment with the functionality of a wide range of communication tools within Blackboard (text chat, voice boards & announcements, discussion forums). Collectively, these features allow synchronous (real-time) and asynchronous (any-time) communication from one-to-many class participants, or many-to-many (i.e. instructor to students, class or group discussion, etc.). Participants will consider possible uses for enhancing communication within particular classes, as well as address advantages and disadvantages of these tools in meeting particular instructional goals.
