Students today increasingly want to submit assignments, receive feedback, and see their grades online. Blackboard can do this, and it becomes a more meaningful class tool when assignments and the embedded grade book are linked, providing consistency in course work distribution, collection and feedback. This workshop will explore ways to streamline the process faculty use to more effectively distribute assignments, collect student work, and provide feedback back to students once graded.
Outcomes
By the end of this session you should be able to:
- Effectively use the Assignments feature for online submission and collection of assignments
- Describe the automated features of Blackboard for grade book management
- Effectively use both the automated features and manual options to set up the Blackboard grade book to provide feedback to students
- Effectively use SafeAssign to formatively provide feedback to students and reduce plagiarism.
