Introduction

Instructional technology and web-based tools continue to shape the teaching and learning landscape in higher education. Within this ever-changing context, university faculty members have increasingly been called upon to integrate technology into their teaching. However, persistent questions remain on the minds of faculty members. What instructional technologies best support learning? How can technology tools be effectively integrated into teaching? Where do you find the time to learn to effectively use new technology tools? The Teaching and Learning with Technology Institute is a comprehensive week long series of sessions designed to help faculty members develop the knowledge and skills to use technology more effectively to improve learning. Each year the CTE staff engages in the evaluation and redesign of the Institute based on our ongoing evaluation of technologies that have interesting applications in education.
