2009 CTE Summer Institute on Teaching & Learning
Eligibility
The institute is open to all VCU faculty. Participants will be expected to attend the entire institute. Faculty who complete the institute will be encouraged to submit a proposal for a teaching and learning grant. Special consideration will be given to proposals that seek to explore the effectiveness of a new teaching design, method, or activity. Faculty who are interested in researching their own teaching project will be encouraged to participate in a number of follow-up, cohort-based meetings that will be designed to assist faculty with (1) research question development, (2) methodology and design development, (3) IRB issues and proposal development, and so on.
Capacity
The institute is capped at twenty participants. Last year the roster filled up quickly so please register early to ensure your spot in the 2009 Institute.
