Developed in the 2005-6 academic year by the first faculty learning community (FLC) at Virginia Commonwealth University. The FLC was charged to develop a resource base for faculty teaching large classes at VCU. The FLC program was launched in the spring of 2005 by the Center for Teaching Excellence at VCU and continues to this day. Click here for more information about FLCs at VCU.
