Purpose:

The following classroom assessment techniques have been taken from the book Classroom Assessment Techniques by T. Angelo and K. P. Cross and have been converted into this Online Resource Guide for the faculty here at VCU. I'd like to thank Misha Derrig and Danielle Sims for their help in creating this resource guide.

You should first determine the nature of the material that you wish to assess. There are three broad categories below each listing more specific assessment criteria. Click on the specific area of interest and a page will appear with a list of classroom assessment techniques that are suited to your interests.
