i3 Project
imagination, innovation, inspiration
The drivers for excellent teaching can often be found in imagining new learning opportunities, the willingness to experiment and innovate, and the desire to share what is learned in order to inspire others. When you combine this drive for great teaching with the opportunities afforded by today’s digital technology and the access to abundant resources and information, exciting new possibilities emerge for teaching and learning. The i3 Project has been developed in response to this potential as a means of supporting and tapping into faculty imagination, innovation and inspiration to enhance learning through the use of digital technologies.
The i3 Project is a multi-year effort that will target specific technologies and themes that have been selected for their potential to have a meaningful impact on education. A central goal of the i3 Project is the desire to examine how the use of these digital technologies and related teaching practices can enhance student learning. Toward this end, faculty participants in i3 Project programs will be expected to engage in individual and collaborative research projects aimed at answering questions at the intersection of teaching, learning and technology.
