Problem-Based Learning

Goals of this FLC are to:

• Develop problem-based learning (PBL) as a well-known, well-respected pedagogy at VCU.    
• Explore “best current practices” in PBL in the literature in other settings.
• Evaluate “best current practices” PBL in the literature in other settings.
• Devise or revise members’ courses to incorporate PBL.
• Improve the use of PBL in courses where it is already being used.
• Explore methods to disseminate information about problem-based learning throughout VCU.
• Assess the results of the learning community’s efforts.
• Disseminate information about the FLCs efforts.
