Faculty Learning Community:
Developing Engaged Online Learners

Goals of this FLC are to:

• Develop a community of practitioners here at VCU engaged in online teaching and learning
• Define what high quality online instruction means at VCU
• Identify current online teaching practices locally and nationally (with strengths and weaknesses)
• Determine appropriate use of online methodologies by disciplines
• Examine appropriate online institutional policies, and
• Develop methods for assessing the effectiveness of online processes on learning outcomes.
