I joined the Center in 2012 as an instructional technologist. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. I also earned my M.A in International Studies at Ohio University. I am currently a PhD candidate in Instructional Technology at Ohio University. I am passionate not just about technology in itself but in how the appropriate use of technology can enhance education. I believe that the use of Instructional design principles aligned with technology can enhance meaningful learning and thus enable instructors to meet the needs of today's learners. At Ohio University I taught introductory technology classes to pre-service teachers, with a focus on Web 2.0 tools. I also produced software tutorials to support Faculty teaching. In addition I worked at Ohio University's eLearning department where I was responsible for a variety of duties including providing technical assistance to instructors using Blackboard, editing video and updating online course syllabi. I'm interested in exploring the instructional uses of various emerging technologies in education. In my role at the CTE I hope to collaborate with Faculty to explore ways in which the use of technology can enhance teaching and learning. I have a broad interest with regard to technology, pedagogy and learning. Below are some of my current interests.
