HHMI Attendees | Student Testimonials | Useful Information Application | Essay Submission | Reference Form | Important Dates | Q&A Program Eligibility for HHMI Summer Scholars Students are eligible to apply to the HHMI Summer Scholars Program at the completion of the first semester of their freshman year at VCU. Eligible students will include degree-seeking students in math, science and engineering programs, as well as pre-professional students or others who have completed one semester of introductory biology prior to entering the summer scholars program. Non-traditional students and students who are not science or math majors are encouraged to apply to the program after completing at least one semster of introductory biology. Application: Applications consist of 1) an application form, 2) at least two letters of recommendation and 3) a two-page essay outlining interest in the program, all due February 29, 2008. A selection committee of HHMI Program faculty participants will evaluate applications and notify students of their selection. Selection criteria include:
