VCU Metro Poll

A public opinion survey conducted by the Center for Public Policy
at Virginia Commonwealth University

The VCU Metro Poll is a telephone survey administered with a randomly-selected sample of adult residents from the City of Richmond and the Counties of Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico.  Approximately 800 total respondents are selected from the four localities, making the sample representative of residents from the region.

Each survey covers a variety of topics, and includes a series of questions that can be custom-designed to meet the client’s needs.  Recent VCU Metro Poll questions have included information on consumer confidence, opinions on school quality, satisfaction with the jurisdiction in which the respondent lives, and computer and Internet use.

The VCU Metro Poll offers a timely and low cost way to collect information on opinions, experiences, knowledge, and the needs of the public. Clients receive a professionally designed questionnaire, data collection and analysis, executive summary, full data tables, and complete demographic information.
