Regional Economic Data  
The Center will provide up to date information concerning regional economic data for the Greater Richmond area.

Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Areas
The Center has provided a list of the Metropolitan Statistical areas in the state of Virginia.  MSA definitions were revised in June 2003.  We provide both the new and previous versions.

2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
Michael Pratt and Howard Sanderson, both from the VCUD staff, wrote the Virginia Economic Outlook section for the 2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report published by the Department of Accounts for the Commonwealth of Virginia.  (The 2005 report is the most current information.)

The Greater Richmond Community Indicators Report 2000 is a comprehensive look at factors that affect the overall quality of life in the Richmond area. This report was created through the combined efforts of the Virginia Center for Urban Development and the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce.

Regional Economic Outlook Conference Archive 
The Center participates in an economic outlook conference held by the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce in January of each year. The Center contributes data for the economic forecasts and actively participates in helping the conference run smoothly. Click here for an idea of the issues that are discussed in the conferences. 

High Technology Directory
Greater Richmond Technology Companies Directory 
The Greater Richmond Technology Council now provides a searchable directory of Technology companies. This directory was compiled on behalf of the efforts of the Virginia Center for Urban Development and the Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc.  Click here to search. The Survey
and Evaluation Research Laboratory (SERL) conducts telephone and mail surveys, focus groups, and program evaluations for the University and outside clients. SERL also manages several large data sets for research.

Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service
This research center is located at the University of Virginia. This site is a valuable resource for data on Virginia and the nation. The Welson Cooper Center produces many publications, including the bi-annual "Virginia Statistical Abstract." 

Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve 
Information tracked by the Federal Reserve Banks, recent actions of the Fed and testimony from Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan are all provided at this web site.

Virginia Economic Development Partnership 
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership was created by the Virginia General Assembly in 1995 and takes the place of the Virginia Department of Economic Development.  The Partnership works to recruit and expand businesses, tourism and film production in the Commonwealth. 
  
Greater Richmond Partnership  
The Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc., provides economic development services to companies interested in locating or expanding their facilities in the Richmond area.  
  
Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce 
The Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce provides networking opportunities, educational programs, business information and ideas for governmental relations to companies located in the Richmond area. Firms considering locating in Richmond should contact the Chamber for information on the region and its benefits.
