2001 Economic Outlook Conference

Presented by the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc., and Virginia Commonwealth University

     The Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc. and Virginia Commonwealth University are conducting the fourth Annual Regional Economic Outlook Conference.  The purpose of these conferences is to bring useful economic forecasting information and expertise to businesses that are affected by the economic climate of our region, state, and nation. People who attend these conferences are members of the, business,  governmental, and academic communities.
 
     The conference begins with a national economic forecast by Raymond Owens, III from the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank.  This information will be followed by a Virginia economic forecast by Christine Chmura, President of Chmura Economics & Analytics, and the local economic forecast by Michael Pratt, Director of the Virginia Center for Urban Development at Virginia Commonwealth University.   In addition to these three economic outlooks, a panel discussion will be held covering recent economic development projects in the Greater Richmond area.  Panelists include John F. Berry, Executive Director of Richmond Renaissance, Inc; John F. Berry, President of Richmond Convention and Visitors Bureau; Gregory H. Wingfield, President of Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc; and Ryan Lorey, Manager of Transactions in the Corporate Real Estate division of Capital One Financial Corporation. 

     This event is being held on Friday, February 9th at the Sheraton Richmond West from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  The Sheraton Richmond West (formerly the Hyatt) is located on 6624 West Broad Street in Richmond, Virginia.  The cost is $45 for Chamber members and $65 for non-members.  Click here for a schedule of this year's events.
