Child Safety Seat Inspection Refresher Course

The VCU TSTC offers child safety seat inspection refresher courses throughout the year. This refresher course will not enable an expired technician to recertify and is not mandated for continuance as a technician. However, the current course has been approved by Safe Kids for 6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs); all of which may be used to meet the current recertification standards. Non-certified technicians are welcome to attend.

Prerequisite

Must have attended a 32-hour child passenger safety training program.

Registration

This course is free of charge, and is not mandated to continue your certification as a technician. Training approved for law enforcement in-service credit. Technicians should review the re-certification requirements that are available at the Safe Kids’ Web site.

Transportation, lodging and meals are the responsibility of each student. Classes will begin at the times listed for each session.
