Welcome to the Website of the VCU Center for Public Policy
Our Center was established on July 1, 1994 as an initiative of a "Strategic Plan for the Future of Virginia Commonwealth University", with the goal of focusing
the university's multidisciplinary efforts in public policy.
As a comprehensive, university-wide center, the CPP has responsibilities in each area of the University's broader missions: teaching, research, and public service. The Center houses and administers the Ph.D in Public Policy and Administration. In addition, our staff members conduct basic and applied research on a number of public policy matters, with special attention to health policy, urban and metropolitan development, and state and local
government and politics. The CPP is also home to the Commonwealth Poll, a regular survey of Virginians' attitudes about politics and policy. Beyond these contributions, the Center also engages in significant service through its training programs, conferences, publications and other contributions to public discourse.
Please let us know how we can help your organization.
Sincerely,
Michael Pratt
