Evaluation Resources

Male studentThe Center for Institutional Effectiveness serves as a university-wide resource for individuals and academic and administrative units that wish to conduct evaluations of departments, programs or personnel. CIE regularly conducts annual evaluations of administrators at the request of vice presidents and other senior-level university officials. The Center also works with the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs to conduct departmental evaluations for the purpose of academic program review and self-studies related to accreditation.

The Center regularly works with administrative offices, university outreach programs and programs that serve students to evaluate programs, make recommendations and lead planning activities intended for program improvement. CIE conducts regular surveys of faculty, students, staff and alumni to support program evaluation and improvement efforts.

If you are interested in partnering with CIE to conduct an academic, administrative or student program review, or to perform a program-review-related survey, please contact Connie Peyton at (804) 827-0932 or cwpeyton@vcu.edu.
