John is currently the Chief Meterologist for WRIC TV 8 here in Richmond and has been an instructor at VCU for several years. John is the recipient of many awards and is a member of the American Meterological Society, National Weather Association, Central Virginia Chapter of American Meterological Society--where he held positions as President and Vice-President. He is also the holder of the AMS Seal Number 274 Television Weather Broadcasting, NWA Seal Number 13--currently the senior holder of the NWA Seal for Television Broadcasting, former member of NWA Seal Approval Committee, 1992 Winner of the Emmy Award for Best Weathercaster, Washington, DC Region.
John is a volunteer for the United Way of Richmond and his interests are swimming, tennis, soccer, cycling, military historian, and theater.
His past work experiences include the areas of South Dakota, Indiana, and Ohio.
