Earn a BFA (vs. the more typical B.A.) in performance; costume, scenic and lighting design; stage management; or theatre education. Seven of the biggest names in TV, film, & theatre (including two renowned directors) immerse themselves with students each year. During the much-anticipated Senior Acting Showcase, students’ material is presented to theatrical, film and television agents, as well as casting and artistic directors in New York City, Chicago, and Washington, DC.

How to Apply to the Department of Theatre, BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts)
Submit recommendation forms and completed VCU application. Design Tech applicants must also submit drawing exercises. Once the entire application is received, the department will send you an Audition Reservation form. Auditions and interviews with faculty are required of all applicants.
