Overview | Degree Information | Gallery | Contact Info | Link to Departmental Website

The BFA in Photography and Film is the only professional degree in photography and film in the region. Students graduate with a BFA (vs. the more typical BA) and may focus on still photography, filmmaking, or both.

Each semester film majors produce, direct, shoot and edit their short dramatic, experimental, or documentary films. While here, students gain experience as part of a crew, and many intern with local businesses and organizations.

Photography majors gain the technical and conceptual skills they need to begin a career as a professional artist or a commercial photographer. Emphasis is placed on individual artistic expression and investigation. Coursework includes study of professional, industry standard working practices.
