2D/3D Fine Arts Portfolio Development
School of the Arts admissions are getting more and more competitive so it is essential that students have a high quality portfolio. Students will spend time in class and open studio sessions working on an assortment of 2D (drawing and painting) and 3D (sculpture) projects. Experienced portfolio reviewers will hold sessions regarding how best to present portfolios. Student work will be professionally documented, and preserved on CD for them to take home with them. All students will participate in a culminating exhibition.
General Schedule
Because drawing is such an integral skill for creating a winning portfolio, students will spend half of each day during the entire Intensive in a drawing course. The other half of the day will be spent in painting for half of the program and in sculpture for the other half.
Culminating Exhibition
2D + 3D faculty will work with the photographer who will document student work for their portfolios, and assist in setting up the final exhibition, Show Your Stuff. Parents and friends are invited to this celebration of student art work. |
