WHO MAY APPLY?Students who have finished their freshman, sophomore, junior or senior years in high school, and are serious about improving their artistic abilities, developing portfolios, and/or learning how to audition for college admission. APPLICATION RULESAll applicants must meet age requirements and demonstrate the desire and the motivation to complete this rigorous three-week program through their application materials. Students will be in class for six hours each weekday, and then participate in studio time to complete art projects or attend evening activities focused on enhancing their artistic knowledge. Ideal students will be focused, serious students who are passionate about participating in this challenging college curriculum. There are no portfolio requirements. APPLY EARLY!Space in each course is limited therefore early application is advised. NOTEApplications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Incomplete applications are not processed until all missing parts are supplied. Be certain that you review and comply with the checklist at the end of the application, and include all of the information listed to ensure admission. VCU attempts to satisfy as many requests as possible, but space is limited in this extremely competitive program. Applicants will be contacted if their first choice course is filled and be placed on a waiting list.
