Travel To and From Richmond

Transportation will be available for participants who arrive in Richmond by bus, train or airplane. Accepted students need to complete the Travel Form to arrange transportation. This service is provided free of charge.

Please make your travel arrangements in accordance with the following check-in/check-out times.

Check in: Sunday, July 8, 2012 Noon - 3:00 pm, Check in for Residential students 4:30 pm Commuters Check in 7:00pm, Mandatory orientation session for all participants.

Check out: Friday, July 27, 2012 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Johnson Hall, 801 West Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23220

From the North via 95 South-coming from Washington/Fredericksburg
From 95 south, take EXIT 76B toward US-1 / Belvidere Street
Get in the middle lane and turn left off of the ramp at the light
Immediately get in the right lane and take a right at the light onto Belvidere Street
Take a right at the second light onto Grace Street. Travel four blocks.
Turn left onto Harrison Street
Take a left on Franklin Street, and end at 801 W. Franklin Street which will be on your right.**

From the South via 95 North-coming from Petersburg/ North Carolina
95 North merges with 64 West, then take EXIT 76A/Chamberlayne Avenue
Take a left at the light at the end of the ramp onto Chamberlayne Avenue
Take a right onto Broad Street at the fourth light
Take a left onto Harrison Street
Turn left on Franklin and the dorm (801 W. Franklin Street) will be on your right. Johnson Hall is on the corner of Laurel and Franklin.**

From the East via 64 West-coming from Virginia Beach/Williamsburg
After 64 West merges with 95 North, take exit 76A/Chamberlayne Avenue
Take a left at the light at the end of the ramp onto Chamberlayne Avenue
Take a right onto Broad Street at the fourth light
Travel for four blocks, and take a left onto Harrison Street
Turn left on Franklin and Johnson Hall will be a few blocks down on your right (801 W. Franklin Street). Johnson Hall is on the corner of Laurel and Franklin.**

From the West via 64 East-coming from Charlottesville
64 East merges with 95 South. From 95 South take EXIT 76B toward US-1/ Belvidere Street.

**SPECIAL NOTE: Monday – Friday you cannot turn left on Franklin from Harrison Street. Please continue down Broad Street one block past Harrison to Ryland Street and go left. Proceed two blocks and turn left on Franklin then follow the rest of the directions listed above.
