The second issue of Curious, like the first, is an independent project undertaken by graduate students from the Department of Scupture + Extended Media at VCUarts, this time in the spring semester of 2008. Each of the 11 artists contributed designed pages that reflect his or her self-directed research, and the resultant document reflects 11 very different studio practices.The artists included are Patrick Cadenhead, Anthony Cioe, Lily Cox-Richard, David Grainger, Eli Kessler, Sami Ben Larbi, Chris Mahonski, Julie Ann Nagle, Maria Pithara, James Sham and Brian Taylor.

Curious was a project undertaken by students in the Spring 2007 Graduate Seminar of the Department of Sculpture + Extended Media at VCUarts in Richmond VA.The twelve artists represented in the book were each asked to produce pages that reflected self-directed personal research and, more importantly, operated in an oblique relationship to a studio practice focused primarily on object making. The artists included: Taylor Baldwin, Sami Ben Larbi, Nahan Carder, Lily Cox-Richard, Christina Fisher, David Grainger, Eli Kessler, AJ Liberto, Rosemarie Padovano, Jesse Robinson, James Sham and Matthew Spahr.
