• Dramatists Guild of America: The equivalent of a union for US playwrights. The DG creates standard contracts and protections for playwrights including Broadway and regional theatres.

• Young Playwrights Inc.: YPI was founded by Stephen Sondheim to support playwrights under the age of 18. It runs national play competitions, workshops, and other services for high school students.
