The Hamlet Question
So why doesn't Hamlet kill the King when the old guy's praying?
The usual culprits . . .
If you hit any of those psychological reasons, you've got it, but only in the way the play might be analyzed in an English course. Think about it technically for a moment.
- The King's praying, so he'll just go to Heaven if Hamlet kills him now.
- Hamlet can never make up his mind about anything.
- Hamlet thinks too much.
- He's a wimp.
So why didn't Old Bill have him do it . . .
