Professor Robert Meganck has his work published on the front cover of the Marketplace Section of the Wall Street Journal on the November 12 issue.

Assistant Professor Sterling Hundley has three works published in Runners World, December 2007 Issue to accompany an excerpt from the book Again to Carthage by John L. Parker.

Department of Art Education Recent Publication News:

Dr. Sara Wilson McKay's co-authored article "Your Kids say 'Mom.' Your Clothes Say Otherwise: Pregnant Fashion Dolls and Visual Culture" with Denise Baxter was published in the Visual Culture and Gender online Journal.

Dr. Min Cho's article "Artistically Serving: A Rationale for Arts-Based Service-Learning" was published as a National Art Education Association Advisory.

Dr. Pamela G. Taylor's co-authored article "Hypermediated Art Criticism" with Steve Carpenter was published in the Journal of Aesthetic Education. Her co-authored article "Walking with a Ghost: Arts-based Research, Music Videos, and the Re-Performing Body" with Shannon Wilder and Kathryn Helms was published in the International Journal of Education & the Arts.

Dr. Melanie Buffington's articles "Art to Bring about Change: The Work of Tyree Guyton" and "The big Idea: Service-Learning and Art Education" were published in Art Education, the journal of the National Art Education Association.

Sarah Branigan's article "My Metaphorical River" was published in American Whitewater magazine.

All Art Education faculty presented at the Virginia Art Education Association conference in Williamsburg.

• Tara Donovan, '99 Sculpture + Extended Media MFA, is featured in the November issue of Vogue and has been invited to create an installation at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

• Print Magazine cited VCUarts Anderson Gallery and VMFA exhibition book Artificial Light as one of the best examples of excellence in design produced in the South this year. The book was designed by Sandy Wheeler, Associate Professor in the Department of Graphic Design.
