• Paul Thulin, Coordinator of Graduate Studies in the Department of Photography and Film, has received this year's Virginia Commission for the Arts Photography Fellowship. The Photography Fellowship is awarded every two years and is based on artistic quality.

• The Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Inc. recently announced grants which support the personal and professional expenses of individual artists for one year. Recent recipients include Craft/Material Studies Chair Sonya Clark and 2001 Sculpture MFA Haegeen Kim. Awards are made to international professional visual artists on the dual criteria of artistic merit and financial need. Congratulations, Sonya and Haegeen!
