Ensembles
The orchestral studies program at VCU offers several opportunities for anyone interested in an excellent orchestral experience through our ensembles — the VCU Symphony Orchestra and the VCU String Ensemble.
The VCU Symphony Orchestra performs full-scale orchestral works and collaborates with Opera Theatre VCU each spring in the production of a full opera. The VCU String Ensemble and small string ensembles are open to music majors and other university students who perform chamber music ranging from baroque to contemporary works.
