VCU PianoFest
PianoFest 2009 will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2009, and feature a Classical Sonata Competition and a guest master class by the internationally acclaimed pianist Susan Starr.

The registration deadline is Friday, October 2.
The PianoFest is a day-long event that brings together piano students and teachers from across Virginia to showcase young talent, explore the piano and its repertoire, compete, and learn about many important aspects of being a pianist.
Our PianoFest 2008 took place on Nov. 1, 2008 and featured guest presenter Fay Barss, workshops by Dr. Vlahcevic and Dr. Shteinberg, a VCU student and faculty concert, a concert of the student participants, and a Chopin competition.
The competition winners included:
Junior division
- Danielle Gibbons: student of Noemi Otto, Lynchburg
- Devin Li: student of Paul Hanson, Richmond
Senior division: students 14 years old and older
- Jesse Leong: student of Karmalita Bawar, Richmond
