Chamber music ensembles

VCU pianists may choose to enroll in a chamber music ensemble every semester — offered as Small Ensembles — accompanying in the fall and piano ensembles in the spring. These 14 to 18 groups include duos with wind, strings and brass instruments and vocalists, piano trios, and two-piano and four-hand duos.

Chamber groups play an active role in the VCU music community, including off-campus performances as part of the Community Outreach Program.

VCU Music chamber ensembles have recently performed at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Grace and Holy Trinity Church, Jordan Kitts Music, Carriage Hill Clubhouse, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and Jamestown High School.
