Saxophone studio
The VCU saxophone studio is a tight-knit community of classical and jazz saxophone students who participate in weekly lessons and master classes with three remarkable teachers. The saxophone faculty brings rich experience of performance with such ensembles as the New York Philharmonic and the Washington National Symphony Orchestra and in many national and international jazz and classical venues.
Very high standards of performance and scholarship are the hallmark of the saxophone studio, which holds a respected position as a pre-eminent wind and percussion school in the mid-Atlantic states. The versatility to which the students aspire leads to well-rounded and eclectic graduates who hold positions in performance and teaching throughout the U.S.
