Facilities
The VCU Department of Music features several on-campus locations for student practice, ensemble rehearsal and guest artist performances.
The 500-seat Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall in the W.E. Singleton Center for Performing Arts is host to many of the department’s guest artist performances, while the 300-seat recital hall in the newly renovated James W. Black Music Center provides space for student recitals and ensemble programs. Both facilities, as well as the Bowe House, also house large ensemble rehearsal spaces, individual practice rooms, faculty studies, an organ suite and percussion practice rooms.
