FACILITIES
The Kinetic Imaging facilities include 2D and 3D animation studios, video/sound and Internet studios, as well as a lecture/screening room and critique space.
The video/sound studios are equipped with ten Apple G4 dual-processor computers, scanners, and software: Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Protools, and Illustrator.
We have a production studio with a green screen stage for effects and compositing, as well as Arra lighting systems, Matthews C stands, Matthews flags, and diffusion screens. Screening facilities include a large flat-screen TV, video projectors, facilities to playback, computer, VHS, mini DV, DVDs, and Beta Cam.
The 2D and web animation studio is equipped with ten Apple G4 dual-processor computers, scanners, and software that includes Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Pro Tools, Boontoons and Illustrator. Animation Lunchboxes and facilities for stop motion (drawn and computer animation) are also available.
The 3D studio includes: 14 PC workstations, Softimage XSI software, Photoshop, Premier, and After Effects. Facilities also include an Avid nonlinear editing system. Screening facilities include a large flat-screen TV, video projectors, facilities to playback, computer, VHS, mini DV, DVDs, and Beta Cam.
Sound facilties include: eight Protools workstations with a dedicated Protools Surround Sound editing system, a Surround Sound speaker system, portable DAT recorders, portable CD recorders, microphones and cables.
Production equipment includes: 3-chip video camera packages, Panasonic AG-DVX100A, Sony DSR-170 with tripods, Sennheiser shot gun microphones with shock mounts and Blimp systems, DAT audio field recorders, portable light kit, video projectors, DVD players, microphones, cables, and portable CD recorders.
