• Your best resource at VCU is your academic advisor. Talk to your advisor at least once a semester. If you don't know who your advisor is, contact your department to find out and arrange an appointment. (Click "Contact Us" in the main menu below for department phone numbers and email.)
• If you need advising and your advisor is unavailable, make an appointment to speak with your department chair. (Click "Contact Us" in the main menu, select your department.)
• If both the advisor and Chair are unavailable, make an appointment with Carolyn Henne, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs (email: chenne@vcu.edu).

IMAGING RESOURCES
VCUarts Digital Image Databank
Our Digital Image Database is an educational tool that provides access to institutional and community image collections through a web interface. The VCUDID offers a complete visual environment for working with images, multimedia, and text with simple to complex searching capabilities and an extensive tool set for viewing, organizing, and presenting images. http://www.luna.art.vcu.edu:8081/BrowserInsight/ The site is password protected. ARTstor
ARTstor is available to all students, faculty, and staff of Virginia Commonwealth University. This digital repository contains hundreds of thousands of images and related data for use in retrieving information or utilizing digital presentations. UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
Help for your freshman year: The VCU University College is a central home for university-wide programs and resources that help to enhance students’ undergraduate experience. Through academic advising, tutoring, writing assistance, group study sessions, orientation programs and courses introducing students to the demands of a university education, the UC provides opportunities for VCU students to achieve greater levels of academic success.
The University College is located in room 107 of Hibbs Hall.
WRITING CENTER (link)
Part of the University College (see above), this is a good resource for students requiring assistance in developing writing skills in any course. Students may visit to schedule an appointment or receive immediate assistance with a writing tutor.
MATH LAB (link)
Provides support for the lower level math classes.
LANGUAGE LEARNING CENTER (link)
Provides students with extramural support in their foreign language courses from the beginning through the advanced levels by extensive use of technology. Walk-ins are welcome.
