Virginia Commonwealth University Visual Resource Center seeks self-motivated work-study students for employment (8-10 hours/week) between Monday and Friday, from 9 – 6 p.m.

Duties include assisting in expansion of slide collection currently housing approximately 600,000 +, with 7,000-10,000 new slides added each year as permanent collection for the VRC. Employee will help with acquisition through cataloguing, processing new, rehabilitating existing slides, circulation, photographing and maintenance of slides (filing), checking in, checking out. Knowledge with Photoshop and computer scanning techniques are highly preferred. Applicants should be comfortable using a digital camera and copy stand.

Prefer knowledge of Art History and Studio Art, strong organizational, interpersonal, public relations skills, computer equipment including scanner and Photoshop, digital scanning software, typing skills and Mac 0SX10.
