William Hammersley - Associate Professor
William Hammersley oversees the wood program and teaches woodworking, furniture design, and various specialized courses in wood including specialty finishes for furniture. He also has taught at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina during the summer. While concerned with function as a point of departure, his work incorporates organic elements as it stretches the aesthetic boundaries of both material and the basic concepts of furniture.
