My tapestries reference memories and dreams; they deal with the past and the future - both real and imagined. The "Horizon" series is specifically about that distant line between land and sky or water and sky. While the horizon may never be reached, viewing it can provoke thoughts of another time or place. Although tapestry is a traditional technique for weaving flat images, I employ a pulled warp technique to achieve undulating or folded surfaces. These tapestries are woven primarily with linen and silk.
