Submit recommendation form and complete the VCU application including the “Education and Life” essay. Your essay should address your interest in film and any film work you may have already done.

You must also complete a second essay, which in 200 words or less, describes a story you would some day like to tell on film.

Transfer students are additionally required to submit a resume.

Supplemental Materials:

Extra Recommendations (up to three in total). Freshman applicant resumes and the like will be reviewed but are not required.

If you have written a screenplay, we ask that you send the first 10 pages and title page as an additional writing sample.

After the initial review of completed application packets, interviews may be requested of certain applicants by the Cinema Admissions Committee.
